Originally prepared by the Asphalt Institute under contract to the US Federal Highway Administration, Construction of Hot Mix Asphalt Pavements MS-22 is a valuable guide and reference for persons involved in asphalt pavement construction and has been completely revised and updated. It describes the procedures necessary to properly construct quality asphalt pavement. New chapters have been added on:

• Quality Control and Acceptance of Hot Mix Asphalt
• Segregation of Hot Mix Asphalt.

Retained and updated are the chapters on Materials, Mix Design, Plant Operations, Placing Hot Mix Asphalt and Compaction.  Includes several appendices.
