The 2000 Property Maintenance Code of New York State is based on the 2000 International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) and 2001 Supplement to the International Codes and addresses the need in communities for a modern, up-to-date code that governs the maintenance of existing buildings. It Include clear and specific property maintenance requirements that regulate interior and exterior building facilities. Provisions of this code apply to existing residential and nonresidential structures and their premises. Provides requirements for continued use and maintenance of plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and fire-protection systems.
