Shipping & Returns


Though orders received during business hours are typically processed the same day they are received, it may take up to 48 hours after an order is placed to process, pack and ship an order.  Orders received after business hours, on a holiday or over a weekend are generally processed the next business day.  This time is added to the delivering carriers 'transit time' to determine overall delivery time.

Standard delivery (excluding Hawaii and Alaska) orders are generally sent either via FedEx Ground or UPS Ground. However, certain items, because of their weight or size, may ship via the US Postal Service.  Though orders are typically delivered sooner, please allow 7-10 business days for delivery.  Deliveries to PO Boxes are made via the US Postal Service. Please allow a couple of extra days (beyond the typical window for "standard" deliveries) for these orders. For most items, standard delivery charges are $9.25 + $2.00 for each item in an order. Delivery charges for large items (for example, code sets) are a flat cost per item based on the size/weight of the item.

Standard delivery orders to Hawaii and Alaska are generally sent via the US Postal Service.  Because of the nature of shipping to these locations, please allow a couple of extra days for delivery. Standard delivery charges to Hawaii and Alaska are $7.50 + $10.00 for each item in an order.

Express delivery orders to Hawaii and Alaska, including those sent via 2-day express shipping and 1-day express shipping, are sent via FedEx or UPS and are subject to the delivery standards established by those carriers. Express delivery orders received before 11:00am (Pacific) are generally processed and shipped the same day.  Orders received after 11:00am (Pacific) are typically shipped the following business day. In some circumstances, orders received after 11:00am (Pacific) can be shipped the same day (for next business day delivery) but arrangements must be made in advance by contacting us at (888) 502-6191.

Shipment tracking information is made available via follow-up email message where possible, typically the business day following the date of shipment. Registered customers can also retrieve this information from their accounts.


Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 15 days of delivery for a cash refund or store credit. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days). If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

Please note, we are unable to accept returns of:

  • software
  • CD's or DVD's, or
  • any product more than 15 days after it has been delivered to you.

We are also unable accept returns of certain pamphlets, booklets or charts, or, because of publisher policy, any materials published by SMACNA, Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association. Shipping charges are non-refundable. In some circumstances, a restocking fee of up to 20% of the cost of the item may apply.
